Mapelastic Aquadefense is a premixed, advanced liquid-rubber waterproofing membrane designed for application beneath ceramic tile or stone in residential, commercial and industrial environments. It forms a continuous, thin barrier that helps protect adjoining rooms and floors below from water-related damage.

In more complex areas (corners, coves, drains, movement zones), Mapelastic Aquadefense can be used together with MAPEI Reinforcing Fabric or Mapeband™ accessories for additional security. Once applied, it dries extremely rapidly and can usually receive MAPEI polymer or epoxy mortars within approximately 30 to 50 minutes. Suitable for flood testing after 12 hours of drying. Listed for use as a shower pan liner and compliant with ANSI A118.10-LV and ANSI A118.12.
